The man with glasses raised his head and looked at the barely ajar gate, only wide enough to fit two armored vehicles side by side. His gaze paused briefly.
At the same time, the officer beside him lifted the tablet in his hand, looked at him, and said softly, "Captain, there's a message from the wall. They said they need someone reliable, someone with authority, to enter the city for discussions."
"Seems they're dissatisfied with the price,"
The man with glasses smiled faintly, then said in a measured tone, "Tell them whatever Weiken promised them, we'll give them the same. If they agree, open the gates. If they don't, we'll siege the city. If they don't want to negotiate, they get nothing at all."
"Are we really going to siege the city?"
The officer hesitated for a moment and asked softly.
"When dealing with people like this, you have to show your stance,"
