As soon as the two descended, they saw Third Lu slumped on the ground, staring straight ahead.
Shu Yu turned her head to look. Under the faint light coming from the cellar entrance above, an emaciated, elderly man in his fifties sat not far ahead, leaning against the corner of the wall. His lifeless eyes were wide open, an utterly chilling sight.
The smell inside the cellar was unpleasant, but amidst the mix of various odors, the stench of a rotting corpse was unmistakable.
This man had likely been dead for several days.
Shu Yu pulled out a lighter, blew on it twice, and the cellar became noticeably brighter. It no longer seemed as cold and menacing as before.
With Daniu's support, Third Lu finally managed to stand up, trembling. He wasn't truly afraid of dead bodies, but the scene before him was simply too horrifying.
