The first rays of sunlight pierced through the glass façade of Tokyo Animation Studios, casting golden streaks across the animation department's workstations. Ryoko Riverdale stood at the center of the floor, her blue hair tied into a no-nonsense ponytail, a tablet clutched in one hand and a half-empty coffee cup in the other. The weekend had officially begun, but for Ryoko and her team, it was just another battlefield.
