Sorry for the delay over the last few days, guys.

When Cade thought he was about to die, he noticed that the wolf lunging at him suddenly froze mid-air, unable to move forward.

"Huh?"

"Uncle Captain, this one isn't afraid to sacrifice himself to save you," Jack declared, tears streaming down his face. He had one hand wrapped around the wolf's neck, which explained why the unfortunate creature was suspended in the air, unable to advance.

"Jack?" Cade looked at him in astonishment.

"What a vicious wolf, nearly harmed this seat," Jack said, twisting the wolf's neck and tossing it aside.

Cade swallowed hard. Monster, absolute monster. How could a wolf possibly hurt you?

The remaining wolf, witnessing its companion's swift demise, hesitated briefly. However, driven by the pride of its species, it charged at Jack, leaping into the air.

"Spirited," Jack remarked, giving a thumbs-up in admiration. Yet, he showed no mercy and delivered a powerful punch.

"Woof!" The wolf let out a painful yelp, flew over ten meters, crashed to the ground, its nose bleeding, and died instantly.

Jack clapped his hands. "Tonight's dinner looks promising—wolves and bears on the menu."

"Dad, Dad!" Tessa, wincing from the pain in her feet, trotted toward Cade and leaped into his arms. "Dad, are you okay?"

Father and daughter embraced. Cade shook his head. "I'm fine, as long as you're safe."

"It's my fault for wandering off; otherwise, you wouldn't have been hurt." Tessa looked at the scars on Cade, tears welling up in her eyes.

"Dad is okay, as long as you are," Cade comforted her, embodying profound fatherly love.

Jack wiped his eyes. "Truly touching."

Tessa glared at Jack, her eyes filled with anger and hatred. "Do you know how touching this bastard is?"

"Of course I know; otherwise, this seat wouldn't have risked saving you," Jack replied earnestly.

"Ha ha," Tessa sneered.

Cade turned to Jack. "Did you save Tessa?"

"Absolutely. She was nearly eaten by a big brown bear. At that critical moment, this court intervened and saved her," Jack said proudly, puffing out his chest.

"Thank you. Our family owes you a debt of gratitude, and we will repay it if given the chance," Cade said solemnly.

Jack waved his hand dismissively. "Do you think this seat seeks gratitude? Not at all. In fact, I've also resolved a headache for you."

Cade froze. "What do you mean?"

"Your 17-year-old daughter Tessa was infatuated with that Sean, wasn't she? It must have been a headache for you. Well, no more headaches, as Tessa has decided to break up with Sean under this seat's guidance," Jack announced loudly.

"You..." Tessa was speechless.

Cade looked at Tessa. "Tessa, is this true?"

Tessa's eyes flickered with inner conflict. "I..."

Jack smiled lightly. "Want to be an honest kid, or should I remind you what could happen?"

A blatant threat. Tessa bit her lip and whispered, "Yes."

Cade nodded. "You made the right decision. Jack, thank you, but I hope you won't interfere in my daughter's affairs in the future."

Jack spread his hands. "Uncle Captain, your words are truly disheartening, but I never take orders from others. I'm really sorry."

"Jack," Cade's voice grew stern.

Jack dug into his ears. "Uncle Cade, no need to raise your voice; this one's ears aren't deaf. In fact, I want to say something—you can't decide everything."

After speaking, Jack picked up the dead wolf from the ground and walked in a certain direction. "Can't forget the bear. Uncle Cade, you should head back; it's dangerous here."

Cade watched Jack's retreating figure, clenching his fists. "Despicable."

"Dad, he's terrible," Tessa shook her head.

"We just haven't found his weakness yet. Tessa, stay away from him."

Tessa smiled bitterly. "I understand." But staying away from Jack was impossible; she had no say in the matter—the initiative was entirely in his hands.

Jack returned, carrying a big brown bear and a wolf on his shoulders. "Come on, let's enjoy some bear paw."

Aiming at Jack: "We have no interest in your human food."

"Exactly. Eating it would make us vomit; it's worse than soil," Bumblebee looked disgusted.

"This is the difference between metal life and humans." Jack skewered the big brown bear with large branches. "Now, let's start roasting the bear."

As time passed, the aroma of the meat wafted through the air. Tessa and Cade looked at the golden roasted bear meat and swallowed hard.

"Wild bear meat is tender; it's excellent." Jack took out oil, salt, and pepper, seasoning the bear meat.

Jack tore off a bear's paw, took a big bite, and his face lit up with satisfaction. "This seat is truly moved; such delicious bear meat."

Gurgle.

Cade shifted uncomfortably. Tessa swallowed, walked directly to the bear meat, and cut a large piece with a knife.

"What are you looking at? No need to be polite," Tessa glared at Jack.

"That's right; after all, this seat is your husband."

"Say that again, and I'll kill you!" Tessa yelled, cutting off Jack's last word.

"Okay, just making things clear between us."

Tessa walked over to Cade. "Dad, this is for you." She handed him a large portion of bear meat.

Cade whispered, "What did Jack mean when he said 'old' just now?"

"Dad, just eat," Tessa turned her face away.

Cade glanced at Jack, silently ate the bear meat, took a sip, and suddenly entered a frenzied state, devouring it desperately. Tessa, initially eating ladylike, soon joined in with gusto.

"Don't worry; there's plenty here—hundreds of pounds, enough for everyone," Jack smiled.

In the end, only the bear's skeleton remained. Of course, more than 95% was consumed by Jack alone.

Tessa and Cade couldn't move anymore. As for Jack, who ate most of it, they could only admire him. Is he even human? There were hundreds of pounds of meat—where did it all go?
