Chapter 14 - M

If Freia had known that she would face such a scene, she would perhaps have never stepped out of her room. There he was, injured and unconscious in the rain.

Sick Boy. Freia sighed, "You're really one of the weakest being huh," she murmured before tightening her special "hoodie" - she had created a special running suit that would protect her from the weather elements.

"Can we just leave him here?" she wondered just as Sick Boy stirred and she had no choice but to help him.

"C.... cold..," Sick Boy uttered shakily. Freia apologised before lifting the veil.

Her eyes narrowed when she saw Sick Boy's pale face. It was the exact same face that she had seen for the past ten years of her life. Kai's face. The same boyish pale ivory appearance with darkened brows. Except, Sick Boy's face appeared sickly. It did little to mar his appearances.

She took off her hoodie and decided to bundle him up in it. Furball fluttered around her and led the way while she struggled to lift him up. Using her shoulder as a support, she painstakingly got him out of the forest to a shelter nearby. Looking at him and the rain, she frowned.

How do I get you back without causing a disturbance?

She was so tempted to leave him in the shelter when his hand gripped her wrist.

"You're.....not leaving me here, are you?" Sick Boy uttered weakly. Freia was a little taken aback as he was awake and had seen her.

She gave a faded sheepish smile, "Well, it's just.... we're not that close and I'm not too sure what to do with you."

"So you're leaving me.... here?" Sick Boy asked with a wounded look and she bit her lower lip silently. Yes, I Was! Wanted to! But!

She rubbed the back of her head in agony, "Well, what should I do then? Are you able to walk? Where do you reside at?"

Sick Boy looked lost and he glanced left then right before sighing, "I'm staying all the way in the south, it's too cold out here. Could we head to somewhere nearer? Like the north tower where you stay?" he uttered shakily and hesitantly.

Freia looked at Sick Boy, the boy with Kai's face. However, that was the only resemblance. Kai would never show this meek side to anyone. He always had an aloof and cool distant image. It was impossible to find a weak spot. With Kai, Freia would only stand from afar and acknowledge him. Standing too close to him felt too tiring.

With Sick Boy, his meekness called for immediate attention. Freia had no choice but to tend to him.

"Alright...," Freia sighed and lifted him. She'll just treat it as though she had just adopted an injured puppy.
