Chapter 2 - The City of Orario

Gojo had been winding through the forest for what felt like hours when he suddenly broke onto a narrow dirt path. Ahead, a horse-drawn carriage clattered along the rutted track.

He raised his voice. "Hey!" The driver reined in the horses. Seizing his chance, Gojo stepped forward and asked, "Do you know where this path leads?"

The old man who looked to be in his thirties said, " Yes, I do. This dirt path leads to the Labyrinth city of Orario. I was going there to trade some goods."

Although Gojo was surprised to hear that this new world had a labyrinth city, he decided to ask the middle-aged man another question:" Is there anything special about Orario?" he asked

The middle-aged man responded with a confused expression and said, "How can you not know Orario is the only city in the world that has a dungeon, not to mention that Gods and goddesses live there?"

Now Gojo was even more surprised actual god's and goddesses live there. "This world is getting more and more interesting by the minute." Gojo thought as he decided to ask one more question before leaving the man .

" How do people handle the Labyrinth in the city?" Gojo decided to not ask about the gods or goddesses because he will probably find out more when he goes to the city himself.

The middle-aged man, still bewildered by Gojo's last question, said, " From what I have heard, do the gods and goddesses give their blessings to people in Orario, making them a part of their Familia. When a person is a part of a god or goddess's Familia, they are known as adventurers and start at level one, and as they gain experience and get stronger. They may be able to level up if they do an "impossible" task for their level with high enough stats. It is also worth noting that to earn money, adventurers kill the monsters in the labyrinth and collect the magic crystal that the monsters drop and trade to the guild. It is an honest and easy way to get rich if you are strong or like fighting.

"Wow, I guess he must go there a lot to know this much about the city." Gojo thought. Even though Gojo just came to this new world, he knew that not a lot of people knew as much as this merchant did about the city. Something was just telling him the merchant knew a lot but putting those feelings aside, Gojo said. Thanks a lot, Mr. Merchant. Here is a magic crystal for the information." As he said that he gave the man the magic crystal he got from the kobold and walked away.

The middle-aged merchant was shocked as he looked at the magic crystal. This random white haired man had a magic crystal on him. That by itself was not so shocking, what was shocking was that the man did not see any weapon on him, so how did he kill the monster? Sure, someone could have given it to him, but the chances of that happening were low since the man did not where any noble clothes, and although his face was pretty handsome, that was the only thing that seemed to be special about this man since he did not look all that strong.

As the man looked up ready to ask some questions of his own he saw that the man had vanished like he was never there to begin with.

Gojo's Pov

When I walked away from that merchant, I decided that in order to save some time I would try teleport to the city he was talking about. " Damn I should have asked him how far away I was from the city." I thought.

I decided to just teleport one mile and lucky me I saw a huge tower over the horizon that seemed to touch the sky. "So that's Orario huh?" I thought as I looked at the huge city from afar wandering what this new world has in store for me.
