A headache tried to expand in Khan's mind as soon as he uttered those words.
Ilman was relatively easy to handle but also extremely complicated. Khan could have the most heartfelt and genuine conversation with him and even reach a satisfactory conclusion, only for the Niqols to understand something entirely different.
However, the matter involved the Nele, and Khan hoped that Ilman's relationship with Jenna would help his cause. Khan knew Ilman would protect her anyway. He just had to make sure Ilman extended that to her species as a whole.
Of course, that meant making Ilman understand that Jenna and he were an item, which Khan saw as one of the greatest hurdles he had ever faced.
"Let's adjourn this meeting," Khan ordered, abruptly standing up. "We'll have more opportunities to talk before the departure, but let's get down to business now."
