Initially, Rex assumed these Werewolves to be scavengers.
Not only because these two came out of nowhere—when the Voidal Prince was down, but also because there were only two of them. A pack of Werewolves could only be recognized as a pack if it consists of one Alpha and at least three Betas.
A Luna, A Female Alpha, Omega, and other occupations are a sign of privilege and prosperity.
Only a strong and capable pack could afford beyond the necessities.
Since there are only two of them, these two Werewolves aren't a pack, more like partners.
A pact these two made until one or even both of them became an Alpha.
But there could be a different tradition between the Werewolves here and those in the Mortal Realm.
Regardless, as Rex continues to watch the battle, he realizes something.
They weren't scavengers.
They didn't come here because of the scent of the dead, like a shark drawn to blood.
Had that been the case, these two would only eat when nobody was around.
