Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: Reunion of Siblings

Wei Chen exited still high in excitement from the bath, with Liu Qin following beside him wrapped in thin robes and hair still wet. His eyes glanced beside him, watching her dry her hair, the thin robes that clung to her body outlined her gentle curves.

A thought flashed by, however the plans for the evening were already set, so for now he needed to cool down.

"Exciting isn't it, especially with the incubus bloodline your desire will seem endless.

As the bloodline increases, one woman would not be able to calm you down.

The name Desire Emperor isn't Air.

If it's just one, she must be very strong, several realms higher. After all, that's one of the main things about your bloodline. The emotion sensing and the dream weaving and walking are mainly secondary.

Check your energy now it has grown even though your partner was a mortal.

Dual cultivation with a mortal is still beneficial to cultivation, with the bloodline's special effects and ambient spiritual energy, there will be results.

Liu Qin yin essence wasn't strong as it had not gotten much nurturing, but it was pure. Therefore it still benefited you.

When things settle down, you can finally start cultivating your physique. I am only here for the bloodline kid.

The exploration of your physique is all on you.

So a deep dive is necessary when you get the time.

Ill help fill in gaps when I can.

Also..."

Before the voice could continue, he heard a familiar voice his sister.

His eyes flashed with joy but quickly changed, looking at the one still changing in his room.

His figure flashed beside her and said, "My sister is here."

Her eyes lit up with joy. "The young miss is back! That's great." Seeing her expression, he gave a smile.

Then looked down at her with meaningful eyes. While looking down, he admired her valleys.

Her eyes widened and she quickly grabbed her robes from before and headed to her adjoining room quickly. Her footsteps could be heard as she ran.

He chuckled, then turned and headed to the door. Soon his sister pulled and entered.

Just as he was coming around the corner.

Seeing her brother appear from the corner, she flashed and hugged him tightly.

"Big brother!" Wei Lin cried out, rushing forward to embrace him tightly.

She cried out loudly, her eyes moist and she was overcome with emotions.

For years she had watched her brother laid sickly in bed as she played with friends, cultivated for the first time.

While she had adventures and made friends, he was at home. While not alone, he was still alone in his heart as no one could truly resonate with him to that level. Being his younger sister helped somewhat, but there was still that distance.

Now as she hugged him, she could feel his warmth, his now muscled figure differed greatly from his skin and bones physique. His breath was strong; she could hear his strong heartbeat.

Wei Chen, on the other hand, finally hugged his twin sister for the first time. With this thought, he hugged her even more tightly, as if she would disappear at any moment.

Soon he heard his sister's sniffles and suppressed muffled cries.

Soon after the circulating emotions were calmed down, taking his sister's face in his hands, looking at her slightly red eyes, wiping away her tears, he smiled and asked her to tell him of her adventures.

'What's this? Wei Chen thought.

"An innate perception of an incubus—this is natural. In the cultivation law I sent you, in the soul section, the first chapter speaks about this. Study when you have time. Enjoy these moments," the Desire Emperor told Wei Chen.

'These days I really won't have enough of these, won't I?' seemly one thing after another.

Wei Chen, listening to her, only held a smile on his face, enjoying her seemingly increasing joyous emotions. Through his awakened senses, he could feel her mentality slowly being released from years of tension, her subtle increase in mental energy. As time passed he noticed her mental energy beginning to flow more smoothly

"You should meet my team," she said with growing enthusiasm. "The Barbarian Twins, Meng Ruo and Meng Chenyi they're like loyal sisters to me, always finishing each other's sentences but absolutely devoted. And Gu Sei, our scout she's so quiet you'd think she was a shadow, but she can track a needle in a haystack and strike from the darkness like death itself."

Wei Chen listened with genuine interest, his smile never wavering. Through his awakened senses, he could feel the subtle shift in his sister's emotional state the gradual release of tension she had carried for years.

"And then there's Kira," Wei Lin continued, her voice taking on a tone of fond exasperation. "She's Leader Gorrak's daughter and my closest friend . Father of the lifetime, Chen she's the most troublesome person I've ever met, but also the most loyal."

"Troublesome how?" Wei Chen asked, genuinely curious.

"Well," Wei Lin laughed, "there was the time she decided to 'help' train new recruits by bringing in a rank-three Stone-Hide Bear. A supposedly 'tame' one. The training grounds are still being repaired."

Wei Chen's eyebrows rose. "She brought a rank-three beast to train Foundation Establishment cultivators?"

"They… weren't …. They were Qi Refinement "

"No!!". We chen said then burst out laughing

"Seeing her brother's face" Wei Lin's laughter grew more animated. "She once tried to 'improve' the mess hall's cooking using some exotic ingredient she received as a gift. The explosion was... considerable."

"And you're friends with this person because...?"

"Because when I was still green, I took a mission with a group that almost cost me my life. While I wouldn't have died….well I didn't know that then I couldn't stop think about if I never left. "Wei Ln took a breath thinking back to the initial months when she had arrived at the Iron Wolf Mercenary group.

" The members I took the mission with…. " she paused the memories still vivid.

"The members were secretly working for the Crimson Blood Clan and were specifically targeting female cultivators. Apparently this group that I had join to undertake the mission with, along with a few other were apart of it."

Wei Lin sighed and continued " I had snuck out thinking that grass doesn't grow well under shade….that…that I needed to gain experience on my own. In the process, myself and another female member of the group were kidnapped and taken to one of their bases."

"I was terrified." they had started with the other girl and I could only watch, her cries and screams ….. Think back this matter had trouble me for months "

"Kira... she had actually taken that same mission to investigate who was kidnapping female Iron Wolf members, Kira managed to infiltrate their base and reach me just in time, which saved me from a fate I had witness."

"That betrayal though simply to those who did it ,made me lose some faith in people. Having to watch your back around everyone, even those you're supposed to trust, definitely left an uncomfortable feeling. "

"When people you entrust with your life can stab you in the back without hesitation, it changes how you see the world."

"Kira's rescue and the subsequent heart-to-heart we had helped us grow closer. With Elder Xiu's connection to her father, we ended up meeting more often than not." Wei Lin chuckled to herself."

"Though looking back, I think she was just trying to find excuses to see me as often as possible."

" Wei Lin's expression grew serious for a moment. "True friends are rare in this world, Chen. She's earned my trust a hundred times over, just like the twins and Gu Sei have through countless battles."

Wei Chen nodded thoughtfully, unconsciously resting one hand on the small table between them. "She sounds like someone worth knowing. Is she coming to the celebration tomorrow?"

"Actually, yes. She practically begged her father to let her come, and I brought my entire team with me. The twins are probably exploring the compound right now—they've never seen a proper clan setup before.

And Gu Sei is likely already mapping out every escape route and hidden passage." Wei Lin's smile turned mischievous. "I should probably warn you, Kira is... intense. And she has no filter whatsoever."

"Intense how?"

"Well, she's nearly six feet tall, covered in traditional barbarian tattoos, and can arm-wrestle most men into submission. But she also has this childlike curiosity about everything. She'll probably ask you a dozen personal questions within the first five minutes of meeting you."

Wei Chen laughed a rich, healthy sound that made Wei Lin's heart soar. "I look forward to meeting her. It's been too long since we've had interesting guests."

"Interesting is certainly one word for it," Wei Lin agreed. "But enough about my friends I want to hear about you. Father told me about your awakening, but I can hardly believe it. The Celestial Nine Yang Body? Chen, that's the stuff of legends."

Wei Chen's expression grew more contemplative.

"It's still difficult to believe myself. One day I was... as you remember me, and the next I was standing in my chamber, feeling power flowing through my meridians like a river breaking through a dam."

"Were you afraid?" Wei Lin asked quietly.

"Terrified," Wei Chen admitted. "For eighteen years, I had accepted my limitations. Suddenly having such power, such potential it felt like waking up in someone else's body." He paused, then looked directly at his sister. "But also incredibly grateful. Grateful to finally be able to stand beside you as an equal, not as the burden you had to carry."

"Chen, you were never a burden"

"Sister," he interrupted gently, "we both know that's not entirely true. You left because you needed to prove yourself, yes, but also because watching my condition was breaking your heart. I could see it in your eyes every day."

Wei Lin's breath caught. She had never expected him to understand her motivations so clearly.

"I don't resent you for leaving," Wei Chen continued. "In fact, I'm proud of what you accomplished. While I was trapped in my own limitations, you were out there making our family name mean something in the wider world. Now, with both of us able to contribute, imagine what we can achieve together."

"Together," Wei Lin repeated, her voice thick with emotion. "I like the sound of that."

Wei Chen reached out and took her hand, marvelling at the calluses that spoke of countless hours of weapon training. "Tell me more about your missions. I want to hear everything the battles, the strategies, the victories and failures. I have three years to catch up on."

Wei Lin squeezed his hand, feeling the strength in his grip. "And I want to hear about your plans. What will you do with this incredible gift you've been given?"

"First, I need to properly understand it," Wei Chen said thoughtfully.

"The Celestial Nine Yang Body comes with abilities I'm only beginning to comprehend. But beyond that, I want to support you in leading our clan to greater heights. You have the experience and wisdom gained from the wider world. I have raw potential that needs guidance."

"We'll figure it out together," Wei Lin said firmly. "Just like we should have done from the beginning."
