He wanted to see if that Miqin was, as He Cheng claimed, a mistake he'd made in his youth.

Qin Mu turned and looked at Mo Xiuchen with puzzlement in his eyes.
Investigating He Cheng's romantic affairs indicated that he was suspicious of Miqin, and yet he hadn't asked Qing Yang to investigate Miqin as well. Wouldn't it have been clearer to just mention Miqin directly to Qing Yang?
