.....
The sky of Mount Olympus, which for years had been bright and sunny, filled with the laughter of carefree goddesses and boisterous or drunk gods, was filled with an intimidating atmosphere and intimidating dark clouds.
Bram Boom Zizizi
From time to time, powerful thunderbolts would flash from the clouds and crash on the ground, destroying the scenery.
"It has been like that for weeks now! When is it going to stop?"
One minor god said looking at the grooming Sky.
"I doubt anything will ever be the same again," a friend beside him says with a sigh of regret.
Weeks had passed since the days now known by gods and mortals as the day of cataclysm, everything I changed, everything had gone oh so wrong.
The gate of Tartarus was opened, releasing the monsters imprisoned there.
Typhoon, also known as the God Eater, the monster that everyone thought dead, escaped back to his territory, destroying part of the underworld on its path.
The typhoon attack on the underworld led to the escape of the ghosts and monsters imprisoned and punished there; now, nearly half of the underworld was empty, with its inhabitants roaming the surface, attacking the human and divine realms alike.
Poseidon, Hestia, Demeter, and many others are all busy protecting the realm from constant invasion.
Speaking of realms Maeron first born son of Zeus the king of the gods, the son that no one knew existed, the one that Zeus thought he had killed before even it's birth, the son prophetised to to dethroned Zeus, the brother of Athena appeared out of nowhere in to control of 50% of the human world with his army of monsters, half gods, Titans and others.
And to add to all that Hermes was gravely injured saving his youngest sibling from the battle between Zeus and Maeron.
"Everything is a complete mess!"
"Do you think we are going to survive,"
The first god I asked to his companion
"Honestly! I have no idea"
With that, the two minor gods reluctantly left the safety of Olympus and made their way toward the human realm.
They, like many others, had been sent into the human realm to protect the city still under the control of the Olympians.
Zeus could be seen seated upon his throne, beside him were his children, and his most loyal guards, while below him, hundreds of gods, his subjects, were standing in line.
The energy radiating from Zeus filled the room, creating an oppressive atmosphere.
"How are they?!" He asked the goddess in front of him.
"My lord, your sons lives are no longer threatened, they are out of danger..." She said softly, her head bent low, careful not to meet the eyes of a king.
She took another deep breath before continuing her voice shaking and growing weaker with each word
"Unfortunately their injuries of severe, so much, so much that we are not sure that they will ever completely recover,"
The moment she ended her sentence, the oppressive atmosphere in the throne room grew increasingly colder and heavier.
"Heal them!"
"Huh,"
The goddess lifted her head to look at Zeus for the first time since she arrived as understood what he meant.
"But my lord, this is..."
"No matter it takes, no matter what you have to do, you will heal them... completely!" the powerful voice of Zeus resounded in the throne room while his oppressive power forced the goddess to her knees.
She wanted to protest, to tell him that it was impossible, that the power and speed that Hermes used that day was so great that is legs exploded due to the strain, back to energy that Maeron syphoned from the baby couldn't be replenish, and that is own thunder attack had made a lot of damage to the two.
But she knew that it was signing her death warrant.
"Ye-yes, my lord," she said, people quietly and quickly leaving that cursed throne room.
She knew, everyone knew that since that cursed day, the always confident and boisterous king of the gods had lost a part of himself.
It was understandable, after all, in one day everything that could go wrong had gone wrong, and now they had to tiptoe around him if they didn't want to be the one paying for that.
Zeus' gaze turned back toward the kingdom of Argos, where he could feel the energy of his traitorous son.
"Maeron!!!"
...
Olympus infirmary
Hermes and his baby brother Zagion, the son of Zeus and Messenia, queen of Argos, could be seen floating in a swimming pool filled with a glowing green healing concoction.
"It has been weeks now and he still hasn't woken up,"
"Be patient, the healers said they were out of danger, they will wake up soon. You know your son, he is full of resources,"
"..."
Sounds of discussion getting closer to the door of the infirmary sounded, before the door was pushed open.
Crash
Sounds of plates crashing on the ground resounded when Leto and Maia, mothers of Artemis, Apollo, and Hermes, entered the room.
"You! What are you doing here Hera?" Maia said as she sprinted to come stand defensively before her son and the queen of Olympus.
Seeing that Hera smirked mischievously
"Hera, huh, you're quite bold today,"
The smile on the lips of the queen of Olympus didn't change seeing Maia looking at her with defiance.
'Should I corrupt her?' Before she could help herself, many perverted and depraved fantasies came to her mind.
Hera had to mentally shake her head to shake off the idea of offering Maia as a slave to Maeron.
Refocusing on the goddesses in front of her Hera finally replied.
"Relax, I am not yet without your son, someone else, far more capable than I has taken care of that already," Hera said with a mocking tone in her voice that made Maia grit her teeth in anger,
"So you are here to gloat!"
"A little, yes" she admitted "But I was mostly here to confirm that the rumor about their state was the truth,"
"And why would I joke about my son's life," Maia said with anger in her voice
"Huh, do not take that so badly, I really meant nothing by that. It's just that... after all the time, energy, and schemes that I used for years, I never managed to put 'them' in such a state... It's quite ironic that the one who did such damage to them is their own father,"
The expression on Zeus's concubines in the room turned sour, hearing the words of Hera. "Well I am leaving now, I have work to do,"
With that Hera turned around to leave.
It was true that she had a lot of work on her hands.
It was true after all, she was now the leader of the largest faction in Olympus, and despite the grave situation they were still in a tense standoff with the faction of Zeus.
Now there were only two factions in Olympus, one led by Hera and the other led by Hera.
It started the day Zeus returned from his confrontation with Maeron, with all the chaos that had unfolded that day he came back to the suspicious gaze and contempts of his subjects, some even outright demanded he stepped down from his position as leader and King of the Gods as if it was some kind of democracy.
At that moment, the pressure, the fury, the doubts, the suspicions, and many other negative feelings snapped something in the mind of the king of Olympus.
Zeus was quick to remind the gods of Olympus that they were in a dictatorship.
Boom zizi zizi
A powerful thunderbolt crashed into the gods, questioning Zeus.
In an instant, nearly a hundred gods were incinerated, those questioning him, and forced the others to submit to him.
This is how all the little factions still existing in Olympus disbanded before being absorbed by the Zeus faction, even some of the members of Hera's faction were forcefully poached before she was forced to intervene.
The clash between Hera and Zeus wasn't overly violent, but it was enough to showcase that only Hera could stand up to Zeus.
That fight was also a declaration that there would be no more reconciliation between the King and Queen of Olympus.
As she stepped outside Hera saw Athena standing outside.
Hera had already felt Athena's presence a long time ago, silently keeping watch, but as she didn't make any move, Hera just ignored her and turned to leave.
She had taken a few steps when Athena's voice sounded behind her
"You have changed!" Hera turned her head to see Athena hitting her lower lip and looking at her with that unflinching and unblinking gaze that she has when she is trying to solve a mystery.
"Shouldn't you be by your father's side, counselling like you always do?" Hera said before tapping her forehead in mock realization.
"Oh, yes, he doesn't trust you anymore." Seeing the tightening of her jaw, she knew that her taunt was effective.
With that, Hera resumed her walk.
"I see that you are enjoying yourself!"
"More than you realize,"
Soon only the sounds of her heels could be heard.
