There are a couple of people I would like to thank. One of them being Makinley Davis, I don't think I could have finished this book without her. From her always being so eager to read the next chapter I wrote. So, thank you Makinley, for being an encouraging reader, and reminding me why I wanted to become an author in the first place.
I want to also thank my not so freshman friend, Katie Nowlin, for giving me courage to go back, and edit better than I could have before. For giving me encouraging words whenever she saw me.
I want to thank my dogs, they are the loves of my life. They reminded me I needed to take breaks, breathe, and to eat. They kept me sane the entire time that it took to write this novel. Also, partially helped give me mental breakdowns too, but mostly good things (I am joking here).
Next, I want to thank myself. It took courage, great strength, and a lot of inspiration to get through this novel. I started writing as a distraction from a breakup I was going through. So, I would like to thank him. Without him, there would be no Cassie. With no Cassie, there would be no story to write.
I want to thank the readers overall. Those who went on this journey with Cassie. Got to know her, experience all of her emotions, the ones that were an extension of myself, and my mind. Thank you for that. Her journey is not over yet. I am excited for the next adventure, whatever that may be.
I want to thank my family members for always supporting me in anything that I do. I wouldn't be here without them.
I want to thank all the authors before me. The ones who inspired me, and my own world. Such as Stephenie Meyer, and her Twilight Saga series. Not to mention, Rick Riordan, and his Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. Lastly, I would like to thank one of my favorite authors, who created one of my favorite series, J.K. Rowling.
I want to thank Taylor Swift, who for all her albums, and the songs, motivated parts of my writing. Also, a round of applause for Chase Atlantic, his songs too helped motivate this book. It gave me the feeling that I needed at that moment. So, thank you, for being my inspiration, and for creating inspiration for those who read this book.
Lastly, I want to take a moment to remember my beloved dog Kenzie that passed away in 2022, may she rest in peace. I love you Kenzie, may you be in my heart for all the days of my life. I hope you all enjoyed it, as much as I did writing about Cassie. Thank you, words will never be enough. Until we meet again. Xoxo - the writer.
