The smoke in the woods became denser as they approached its source. When they arrived, they only found ashes. It seemed the combat had already ended. Only a few embers were still burning.
"D*mn! We are too late!" Buttface complained.
"It would have been useless to come earlier. Look at these embers. It looks like this fire was burning the whole night. Even the bodies here are badly charred," Xu Que said, shaking his head.
Over one hundred charred bodies were lying on the ground. They had been burned so badly that they were totally unidentifiable.
