Svetlana had already entered the lower bay. A sector of BRSD nobody had stepped into in months—off-limits after a power overload.

Her breath was ragged, blood trickling from her nose. She limped with Tadame in hand, guiding her through flickering fluorescent lights and doors still bent from last month's explosion.
"Why're we… running?" Tadame asked quietly, her wide eyes watching Svetlana's face.
"I don't know how much time I've got," Svetlana muttered, "but your blessing… your clones… I need one."
She paused at a terminal.
Pulled two syringes from her belt.
Tadame's eyes widened. Svetlana injected herself with one of the syringe and showed no reaction.
