"I... didn't mean it." Jun looked at her as if he was unjustly scolled. Yui had no choice but to continue to deal with him. She'll always remember that he can turn crazy. It won't change the fact that she wants to kill him. In fact, she'll still swallow that decoration and will say it's compensation for almost killing her. With a nod Yui commanded: 'Give me that decoration.'
"Decoration?..." He thought about what the wolf was talking about and then remembered the cube. "Here..." With some hesitation he took it out of his pocket. He didn't place the cube on the floor but instead, kept it in his palm. After all, it was a precious artefact. Not only it has the highest teleportation capability but it could grow if it meets some conditions. His master told him that it had other secret functions and that he should take care of it so the cube could help him just like last time.
Yui inspected it to see if the cube was the same so that she doesn't swallow a fake. Happy that it's the real deal, she gives a quick glance behind Jun's shoulder. She wanted to say that the old lady was behind him but she liked the idea of a snake. "Wow! Look! Another snake."
Intrigued and on his guards, Jun turned his head to look behind him. How could there be a snake? He thought that this slave of his couldn't make the difference between a snake and wolf so he was looking for a wolf. It would have to be a strong one cause he didn't feel a beast near them and if it was a wolf it would make sense that a wolf could feel another wolf.
Yui took this chance to steal the cube from him with her mouth. Jun was so focussed to look around for an enemy that he forgot about the cube. Yui doubted that she'll be able to swallow it but still gulped it down her throat.
At first, Jun was worried when he heard the coughing and choking that came from Yui's direction. He thought that the enemy attacked her and that she was in danger. He quickly turned to her and looked where her injuries were but saw nothing.
"Where is the beast? I'll kill it..." Then his stomach made some noise. "And eat it."
Yui wasn't sure if she should spit the cube or continue swallowing it. It was half down her throat but even though it didn't have sharp wedges, her throat was being damaged. Jun inspected her throat some more and saw that it had a cube like shape in the middle of it. He thought that it was the thing choking her. Then his slow brain made the link. He looked around and couldn't find the cube.
"Who made you swallow the artifact!? Spit it out!" He wasn't sure how to make her spit it out. If he knew that she herself swallowed it, maybe he won't hesitate that much to slice her throat and take it out. Even if he wants to give her, the cube looks more important but he hesitates at taking a choice. He thought with his muscles. 'Should I punch her throat? It will smash the cube right? but won't it break her neck too... Then how about I... That looks feasible'
Without even warning Yui, Jun took a stick and opened her mouth. Yui was waiting for her throat to die but when he opened her mouth, she preferred being stabbed. 'Crazy huma...' She couldn't even finish what she was saying that the cube scratched all her throat until she was finally able to swallow it. At the same time the stick ripped into pieces. She closed her mouth furiously. Unfortunately, Jun took his hand away in time.
"There, all good." Yui continued coughing. She had her own blood on her teeth and her throat was on fire. It was hurting her a lot. Yui could say goodbye to tasty food for some time. Drinking water would also probably hurt her. Only a miracle would take this pain away.
Jun scratched his head thinking if he should waste a good potion on her or not. In the end he took off his backpack and found a good healing potion in it. After all, he should keep her healthy. Jun wished that she won't be as unlucky as now and that no one tries to choke her... unless it's him.
"Here, drink this" He awkwardly tried to make her drink the potion. most of it fell on her fur or the ground. You could see the grass where the potion fell to be more green and fresh than the other and some flowers sprouted. At first, Yui was refusing to drink poison from this scammer. With the small portion that she drank, she felt completely fine. Her throat was as good as new. No, you could say that it was better than before. The wolf felt a little bad for doubting him but soon felt joy at making him waste such great potion.
"Now that you stopped to resist so much, drink the rest..." Jun felt a great loss from giving it to her but being praised by his master was better. Maybe she'll even give him a powerful weapon. Yui nodded her head and couldn't help but wave her tail at her successful mission and this bonus. She saw how miraculous this potion was and if she could she would steal the rest and drink it too. The wolf doesn't know the consequences of taking too many of them.
Fortunately, Jun was too stupid to se that she herself took the teleportation device. She would probably use the same method and say it was the same person but he couldn't be that stupid could he? The wolf innocently finished drinking the potion with Jun's help. It had a good taste. It tasted like... blood.
