"Hum?" Rifindio's eyes stabilized, and he found himself back in the arena. However, that wasn't the same arena he had just left. This one was in another plane, like a different layer of the same space. That's how the separation happened.
That wasn't what caught his attention, though. Instead, it was the fact he wasn't alone. Right by his side, Rean and Roan stood, looking just as confused.
Then, Rifindio jumped back, his heart beating fast. "Fuck! I haven't killed you guys! Why are you my adversaries?"
"Calm down, idiot!" Rean complained. "You were supposed to fight only one expert, wasn't it? Roan and I are here, so how could we be your opponents at the same time?"
Rean sighed. "Let's be honest. If we were your opponents, and we were actually twice as strong than we normally are, you would be dead already."
