Aranea didn't know what to say. It was pretty evident that her familiar was desperately trying to escape his father's control. She was also surprised that Vera, his mother who usually took his side, started to question him.
"Beau… if I may," she started, the Wind Familiar's eyes blankly on her. "I heard that familiars can only be with a person of the same element to maintain the purity of the element, right? To also keep the elemental affinity of it?"
He nodded, answering her question. "Yup. But it's looked down upon because of the consequences after."
The Summoner sighed. "I guess that's the reason why Vera didn't side with you this time, huh?" she added, the Wind Familiar letting out a sigh.
"Yeah…"
He got a pebble from his side and then threw it far away. Curious, she probed him further, wondering what would happen to the familiars if they further pursued their forbidden relationship.
"What happens… if you two persist?"
