The Ape king came checked the children. "She is healthy but how are you holding up. I can only imagine what you are feeling right now. " He said handing Rain back to her mother. "I feel empty but I can't slow down. I need to be strong for my children. It hurts looking at her because I see him. " she said placing rain on the cotton cloth. Rain looks up at her quietly. "The eggs are also healthy Iris. I know its hard but know that your males are here for you. They will do anything for you so please try and be grateful. Lysander would be sad seeing you like this." He said standing up. "I am sad because he is dead. I am angry because the killer is still out there. I AM JUST ANGRY THAT HE WILL NEVER KNOW HIS CHILDREN! YET I AM NOT ALLOWED TO FEEL ANGRY OR SAD! I HAVE TO PUSH OUT BABIES AND BE HAPPY WITH MY MALES! WELL HOW THE FUCK CAN I DO THAT WHEN ONE OF THEM ISN'T HERE!" She screams letting out months of frustration out.Falling to her knees crying Winston was at her side holding her. Shu stepped infront of them facing the Ape king. "I think you should leave. What ever you said made our wife upset." Shu was then cut off by an angry Castile "SHE SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO MORN AND FEEL! YOU NEED TO GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE BEFORE I RIP YOU APART!" Cass yelled making the Ape king back up. Parker place a hand on his shoulder. "Come on she lost one husband she doesn't need to lose any more. Killing him will cause a war come on lets go hunt." Parker pulled Cass out the door to cool him off. Ape king left not wanting to anger any of the other males.
Iris pov
I got up the next day caring for the cubs Meadow and Rain. They can eat so that's a good thing. Once they were down for a nap I checked the eggs. I remember him telling me to use moss grass and to keep the eggs in a warm spot. Placing my finger on one of the shells I felt movement. "I'm your mommy. I can't wait to meet you but take your time. I need you to be strong and healthy. Your father gave up his life to save you while you were inside me. He was a kind soul and didn't deserve to die like that." I said before a pair of arms wrap around me red hair on my shoulder. "Cass-Ah" I was cut off by him kissing me. We both feel the same pain because Lysander was our best friend. He was always there for us and now we have to find a way without him. When I realized what was happening he has marked me as his female.
