She made her way to the clinic, where several people were waiting outside Dr. Chisen's office. Dr. Chisen's assistant recognized Ji Anning and told her that Dr. Chisen had gone to the emergency room to perform surgery on the student who had caused trouble earlier, and that she should return to her ward and wait.
Since surgery was unpredictable in duration, Ji Anning had no choice but to return sulkily.
"It has nothing to do with me at all; why should I care about them?"
As she passed by the emergency room entrance again, the group of youngsters was no longer there, and it was peaceful. Ji Anning rested one arm on the wheelchair armrest, lightly stroking her forehead with the back of her hand, and let out an inadvertent sigh.
Suddenly, she heard a familiar voice.
"Now they're insisting it has something to do with you; what are you going to do?"
