Elder just shook his head. ''You really have some strange ideas, but most of them will be able to give you money. But why do you want to include others in your ideas?''
Mei Ling took him by hand and let him sit on the sofa. ''Godfather, I know that I can do all those over the frame. But first toys will be made by hand so they know what texture, softness and a real feeling of toys are. If you use only the frame you won't get the same quality. I want to keep these people by my side as I grow. They will help me and in the future, they will get just some percentage of the sale. It's their money as well. I just gave them basic ideas.''
Then she turned to Nalan Ko and curiously asked. ''How comes this place has no toys for children?''
She sighed. It was hard to explain as she came from a different world and she saw happy children in that world as well. But here... ''Children here usually play whit what they find in nature. Like that, they get a better understanding of the world that surrounds them. I am glad you made those toys, but I still hope that children will continue to play outside as well.''
Mei Ling understood her intention. ''You are right. But when is bad weather and they can't play outside...'' But then understood her own words. This is an array, there is no such thing as bad weather, storms, floods, dryness... ''I completely forgot this is an array.''
Elder's heart shook. What kind of child lived in the outside world so long that she was worried about the weather and such? Only those questing had to worry about many variations that nature gives. This child lived really hard, didn't she?
He patted her head as his voice shook. ''You had it hard, didn't you?''
Mei Ling suddenly froze and from one moment to another she remembered all those things that were happening while she grew up. Her face paled and her eyes became red but she stubbornly held it in. ''I am fine now, am I not?''
Looking at her face Nalan Ko felt sadness swiping all over her. Even tho that world seem as progressive and happy, but it was unhappier than this world. Here you have at least a safe roof over their head and do not have to worry about many things, even as a commoner. This outside world is more dangerous, but at the same time inside is very calm.
''Mikey, my child, from now on you live with us. I told you we will sign you as Ko family member. Even if you don't wish to become stronger and want to laze around the house, you may. I wouldn't mind. This place is wonderful to relax as you say. We can take outside strolls and go shopping together. Or we can go swimming in the nearby sea. We can go outside as well and met people by gatherings or we can just sit at home and play. My wish for you is just to be happy.'' Nalan Ko hugged her shoulders that shook slightly and really resent that world.
Mei Ling just hugged her back but rejected that idea. ''Mother, I do not have to quest every day. We can go questing now as it is still nice weather. But when the change of weather comes it will be too dangerous. Then I can stay home, play with you and siblings and just have a relaxed time. But my real wish is actually to see how far my powers can grow.''
Elder this time looked at her seriously. ''By the way, what did those words of yours meant before?''
Mei Ling blinked confusedly but then remembered. ''Oh, you mean about nature powers? Before answering that, you have to explain what you all see as nature powers?''
The two people looked at each other as they felt her words strange.
''Power's of nature are just that. Growing plants, using tree and ground powers and so on.'' Nalan Ko slowly explained as she looked at her.
Mei Ling looked at her Godfather one more time and saw him confirming it she held her head. ''Godfather, are you sure I have only that power. Is that thing that predicts powers broken?''
As they heard her words they jumped from the sofa and stared at her with open mouth. ''No way...''
Their actions astonished her. ''Uhm, you do not have to overreact so much, you know.''
Their shiny eyes stared at her with expectation as they asked. ''Explain...''
At first, she just stared at them for a couple of moments. With a sigh, she shook her head. ''How can I explains something I didn't know I had. Even those tracking skills, how to explain? Godfather, it is time that I tell you about me. The real me. Then we can talk about everything else.''
Elder just sat down slowly and then stared at her as he couldn't understand what is going on. ''I can see that you were different than Nalan Ko. Of course, I knew this child for a long time...''
