As they left the city Noak went straight to the nearby forest and looked at her. "Mei Ling, The purple tracks fade the fastest. Where the rabbit went you will see by sidetrack. He hits his back legs bit to the side. When you find a purple trail we will know the rest. Try it."
She looked through the forest floor and explained. "I see yellow paws, tiny. Then golden tracks like some kind of snake? Blue trails..."
They went deeper into the woods and went silent as she explained more and more. Suddenly she stopped and went down on the floor. They could see her turning her smiling face towards them and pointing at the floor. "Told you, purple tracks."
Noak got closer and smiled brightly. "I'd be damn. Seriously the tracks. And fresh ones. All be careful and take your stances. Mei Ling, stand behind me. We will call it out as it is one of the animals that love to fight head-on. Be careful."
What could she do as standing back and seeing them standing there and hitting a strange bowl? Actually the bowl made no sounds but suddenly from bushes, the whole group of rabbits rushed towards them.
"Should we run?" She perked behind Noak's back at huge rabbits rushing over.
"You have no idea. If we catch them all we can get as many stones as someone who did dragon task. Not gonna let even one slip away. Sou make a formation. Don't let them escape!"
Sou was actually almost as muscular as Noak bit smaller by at least two heads. She had no idea how fast he was a bit suddenly she saw hi. rushing here and there touching branches and moving stones and fallen branches in a certain order.
Suddenly in front of them appeared multiple cages with those rabbits in it. But even if they ate in cages they still need to be caught. So they used the formation to fight one at the time.
And the rabbit was not a simple creature. Somehow it knew that they wouldn't kill him so he just attacked first. All they could do is use ropes to catch them.
Luckily they had Noak and Sou. But even with those two, it was a hard thing. On the end, they caught the first one. Looking at least two dozen more of those creatures they regained energy.
One after another they fought for the whole day. She knew she would be more burden then help if she tries to intervene. So she stood on the side and watched it with big excited eyes.
Once in a while, they would look at her side just to make sure she was safe. Bit it was completely unnecessary.
When the evening came the group of people attracted attention in town while carrying a bunch of huge rabbits. Mei Ling actually was the only one that didn't carry anything and comfortably walked behind them.
As they entered the Quest guild suddenly usual clamor became light as they brought their task back. The quest giver almost jumped around in happiness as he saw them approaching. "Oh, this is good, so good. But how did you find so many?"
Noak already on their way made up a story. With shrug, he pointed at rabbits and then hit his chest. "My group is famous for finishing the tasks."
To be pretentious was common so the quest giver shrugged it off. "Oh well. How many do you have?"
"Three dozen alive silver rabbits with purple paws." Noak puffed up and walked around proudly almost making Mei Ling burst in laughter.
She knew he did that for her own good. They spoke before and he said that too much attention would be way too bad for her. She should do small or medium quests with smaller groups until she learns how to use her own natural power to protect herself.
He then just calmly explained. "Actually, we were just lucky. Maybe we went close to their lair. Who knows. How much will we get?"
The quest giver started explaining. "Each of you will get three dozen spirit stones for spirit rise with medium strength. As each rabbit itself is worth a hundred twenty soul stones, you get a bunch of it. We will pay right away. Do you have your soul bag ready?"
Noak nodded and took his bag out. Actually, it looked very simple. He just wanted to touch his bag with strange box quest master had in his hands and transaction was made.
After they finished they stood aside and made plans. Noak pointed at Mei Ling. "I need to take her home. It is late. You all go home. Here I'll give you all your share."

They chuckled. "He would get share like he was with us. After today's great hunt, it's going to be quite a lot." Noak patted her head and saw her smiling in relief. This girl has a good heart.
After doing the same procedure with everyone he looked at her. "Your bag?"
She just scratched her head. "I gave it to Na'an, to bring back home. You can give to my mom. Come, I have anyway many questions for you."
They left the city slowly turning into a strange environment and his brows wrinkled as she explained to him their situation. 'We are kicked out the house and are looking for a new stay. For now, we sleep in handmade cottage."
But when he saw what she called cottage he almost started cursing but kept his tongue still. With dark expression, he stood still and then suddenly he made decision.
''Come, I need to talk to your mom." But when he got closer he almost froze.
Nalan Ko and children sat by the fire and a whole bunch of food on table showed that they waited for her. Her heart warmed up even note when they saw her and rushed to hug her in relief, completely ignoring Noak.
Nalan Ko pressed her hands on Mei Ling's arm and sighed in relief. ''Good, you are fine. Bit tired and hungry'? " But then she turned her head and with a dark expression she stared at Noak. "As a team leader, you forgot to feed her, didn't you?"
Mei Ling patted her hand. "Mom, there was literary no time to eat. We captured thee dozen silver rabbits with purple paws. They fought them the whole day long . Uncle Noak took care of me really well. And I like mom's food the best anyway." She cutely looked at Nalan Ko while coaxing her into a smile.
Nalan Ko puffed her cheeks as she was happy about her words and then just patted her chest. "At least you are safe. We waited for you in worry. Next time, I'll give you a bag so you can bring some food with you. I forgot this morning as I didn't expect that you'll take quest right away."
She was about to drag her towards the house when a huge shadow stopped their tracks.
