I slept outside in the forest it was a little windy but I love the wind and the forest and somehow I wasn't cold I guess the Earth Clan genes help with that even though I can't morph.
As I wake up I get off the tree I was sleeping off and I start to stretch. I hear a cry and I go towards the cry. I see a little fox crying and as I get closer I see how a bear wants to hurt the Fox. I don't know what to do I can't risk my life I can't morph what good could I do dead??
I see the little fox and I realize he's innocent and I should play it smart.
As I get in range I throw a rock at the bear and I hide. He seems to get agitated but he gets closer to the fox and I through another rock as hard as I can.
He sees me and I run. As I'm running I can hear him getting closer, I try to run faster and he's behind me. I roll to the side and sprinted towards the fox.
I pick him up and run towards the tree I slept on. I start to climb it when I see the bear. I throw the fox on the tree and I run towards camp. As I get closer to the camp I yell out "bear!" Then I see Samson and he morphs.
He wants to kill the bear but the bear doesn't know any better I don't want him to be killed.
Samson runs towards the bear claws ready. And I muster my strength and I tackle him on his side only enough to move his direction. When I look up I see our instructors knocked out the bear. He then looks angrily at me. "What the hell are you doing?? Trying to get yourself killed!!"
Before I can explain he yells at me more. Then I feel something fuzzy on my leg and it's the little fox! "He did what he had to do to save this fox cub" I turn around and it's Lupe.
The instructor looks at me and asks me "is this true, did you do this to save the fox cub?" I nod and then he smiles.
He whispers to me a true earth clan member wouldn't run and he yells as a member of the earth clan we protect the Earth and not just our people and humans, but all living things including animals. Samson who morphed back looks angry.
He scoffs at me and then leaves. I go to Crystal and the little fox cub follows. She tells me the mom of the cub died and that's why he was crying and when he started crying the bear heard him.
I pick up the cub and I hold him like a baby and I rub his belly. He seems to love it and carry him away. I go to my bunker to see Samson moving his stuff out of our room and goes to an empty room. I sigh and I make a little bed for the cub.
I look at him while gave him some milk and I named him Streak because he has a white streak like all foxes. When he falls asleep I go to eat breakfast. I pick up my plate of food and I eat outside.
I start to think about my brother and my sister. I hope they're all ok and that I miss them. As I start to eat I see this guy and Lupe walk up to me. She says hi and introduces me to her sister Cynthia she can morph too and tells me her family are in the Earths clan Enforcement and she tell me her father is the instructor.
I ask her why didn't she morph to help me out with the bear and she tells me when I ran to get the cub and put him in the tree she was protecting the cub. I scoffed and I went back to the forest.
I see the instructor walking towards the camp and away from the woods. He tells me he's sorry for yelling and he's proud I didn't let Samson kill the bear. The bear was looking for food for her cubs and the cubs would've died without the mother.
I tell him thank you but my grandmas voice in my head was the one who made me do what I did. He sits next to me and tells me that "as a member of the Earth clan we must always remember as a wolf we are intertwined with the earth and we are no better than the animals in the forest. Humans kill the forest but they lost their connection to the earth and we didn't".
I tell him I'll remember that and he tells me his name is Isaac and he knew my mom. He tells me that my uncle who is in charge of the Earth clan right now is coming tomorrow to show the Earth clan it's new candidate for the throne. I tell him my brother needs to wise up and be taught how to be humble.
He agrees with me and walks away. It's time to train and I train with my brother again. This time he starts to be more aggressive and when he kicked me on the chest Streak comes out and tries to protect me. Samson kicks Streak and streaks yelps.
I yell at him telling him "what the hell?? He's just a cub he doesn't know we're sparring!" He responds with "it doesn't matter I'm royalty and a wolf he's just a stupid animal". I yell at him "when you morph you're a stupid animal, and when you morph back you're a hot headed animal." His eyes flash red and he charged me.
I get into my MMA stance and I take him seriously because he needs to know he's still my little brother and I won't take crap from him. He tried to tackle me and I move to the side and stick out my foot to trip him.
He falls hard and he gets back up and jumps at me I fall to the ground and kick his chest. He gets back up and he kicks me. I bring up my knee to block it and I hit his face with my other leg. He took the kick and he swept my other leg and I fall.
As he tried to jump on top again I roll to the side and get back up he tried to punch but since he's angry it's a wild punch and I grab him and flip him. He hurts his back and I yell at him to stop this fight. He looks at me and he tells me "ok fine, you win". As I turn back he tried to hit me in the back of my head and Streak coms in and bites his leg. I see this and I kick his chest.
He gets down and he doesn't get back up he's down. I pick up Streak and I go to Samson telling him I'm sorry but you need to respect other people and animals.
I'm his older brother and I love him but he needs an attitude check. He sees that other people stopped sparring and saw our fight he gets back up and runs away.
