Lenia's army had grown considerably, bolstered not only by the forces she had brought with her, but also by the addition of the Dragonmen army and their Lizardmen slaves. With the new reinforcements, her numbers had swelled to nearly one hundred and fifty thousand. A substantial portion of that strength now included a large cavalry force, thanks entirely to the Dragonmen Chevaliers and their monstrous reptilian mounts.
Her own Barbarian Wolf Riders and the Human cavalry on warhorses were practically useless in the suffocating jungle terrain of the Ever Gloom. But she had anticipated that from the beginning and hadn't brought many of them. The Dragonmen were a different matter entirely. Their giant scaled mounts moved with surprising ease through the swamps and tangled undergrowth, their talons finding purchase where hooves would only flounder. Their presence gave her army a crucial edge, and Lenia welcomed the advantage.
