"Huh? Why would I?" Azariel raised his brows.
"I mean, you didn't expect her to throw you away that easily when a good alliance showed up at her door, did you?"
Davis nudged Azariel, causing him to look away as he nodded.
"I guess not…"
Davis continued, "Listen carefully. The greatest trick women ever pulled was acting cute and convincing everyone they were not predators. There are two kinds of predators. One stalks and pounces, ripping apart everything in its wake, and the other lures and entraps, engulfing you and crushing you into meat paste. Sometimes it's both, but you get what I'm saying, right?"
Azariel didn't know what his father was getting at but answered obediently.
"Hmm… Women are capable of luring and entrapping, shredding one to pieces…"
