Clutching the dagger tightly, Boqing wiped away the last of his tears and nodded earnestly. "Yes, I understand. I will take very good care of myself. You all take care too, and don't get lost again!"
"Alright, it's getting late, we should be going!" Du Fan stepped forward and gave Boqing a reassuring pat on the shoulder. He then turned to Feng Jiu and said, "Master, I will escort him to the sect first and return after settling things there."
"Alright, go ahead!" Feng Jiu nodded in acknowledgment, watching as Du Fan retrieved his flying artifact and departed with Seventeen and Boqing. Only then did she turn her attention to her three children.
"Let's head back to the Palace now! Let's spend some time with your Grandfather," Feng Jiu said gently, patting each of them on the head.
The three children followed her inside. Yue'er, her small brow furrowed with concern, asked, "Mother, will we ever see Boqing again?"
