Transcension
Life is an inherent struggle. The tossing and turning of the present being swept in the currents around them while the past is the bedrock that supports and stabilizes an individual, yet what happens when that past is too far out of reach? As far as the distance between the sky and the ground, an infinite chasm that seems impossible to cross. One can enter a new world, but can they return to their old one?
There is one person who has no choice, but to contemplate this. With a past too distant and a body too defected to conquer the currents of the world, he has no choice, but to give it his all regardless. The world is cruel, but to accept its cruelty would be a deeper cruelty to oneself.
He can't transcend it all on his own.
But maybe he can at least transcend the weakness in his heart.
